A Shiba Inu (SHIB) investor transferred trillions of SHIB tokens from a Netherlands-based cryptocurrency exchange. Here are the details of this massive transfer!
Huge Transfer in Shiba Inu (SHIB)!
According to new data from the whale research platform, Whale Alert, a Shiba Inu whale transferred approximately 4,584,530,677,374 SHIB, worth about $33 million, from Bitvavo to an unknown wallet.
According to Etherscan, the Ethereum blockchain monitoring platform, this transfer took place in the early hours of October 5th. The movement of SHIB occurred a week after the Shiba Inu development team warned investors to be wary of suspicious users claiming to be part of the SHIB ecosystem.
During this period, the SHIB team explained that the use of the name “Shibarium” by a party or token does not imply any association with the project’s newly launched Layer-2 scaling solution.
Shibarium and Bone ShibaSwap
According to the SHIB team, all official partnerships will be announced through the ecosystem’s Discord channel or official blog. In early September, the SHIB ecosystem grew rapidly following the highly anticipated launch of Shibarium, leading to an increase in the staking of Bone ShibaSwap, which is used as a gas fee for Layer-2.
During this time, the SHIB blockchain tracker, based on data from Shibariumscan, reported that the total number of transactions in Shibarium exceeded 2.5 million. Data from the Layer-2 scaling solution indicates that 27 million BONE tokens were staked. Currently, the value of SHIB is $0.000007, while BONE is priced at $0.795.
In conclusion, the SHIB whale transferred billions of SHIB worth $33 million from a Netherlands-based cryptocurrency exchange to another wallet. This significant transfer occurred shortly after the Shiba Inu team’s warning that official announcements will only be made through certain platforms.
